Privacy & Data Protection

Who we are

Sluicio is system-integration monitoring built on the OpenTelemetry standard, operated by ROMA IT AB. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. For anything to do with your data or this policy, contact us at support@sluicio.com.

What we collect and store

To join the early-access waitlist you give us your work email address and, if you choose to, the team role you work in. We store that information — your email address and optional role — in our own systems so we can contact you when your cohort opens. Our hosting provider, Strato, also keeps standard server logs — such as IP address and browser type — for security and reliability. We do not run advertising or cross-site retargeting, and we do not buy or enrich your data from other sources.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your email for one purpose: to contact you about Sluicio early access — to tell you when your cohort opens, and to reply if you get in touch. Our legal basis is your consent: you actively asked to join, and you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by emailing support@sluicio.com. We will not sell, rent, or trade your details, and we will not use them for unrelated marketing.

Your telemetry stays yours

During early access, Sluicio runs on-premise — inside your own environment. The OpenTelemetry data your systems emit is processed where you deploy Sluicio and is not sent to us or stored by us. If a hosted option becomes available later, we will explain exactly how that data is handled before you opt in to it.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies in two ways: the essential cookies WordPress needs to function, and Google Analytics, which Google sets to measure how visitors use the site — for example, which pages they view — so we can improve it. We do not use advertising or cross-site retargeting trackers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google’s official opt-out browser add-on.

How we protect your data

We encrypt personal data in transit and at rest, limit access to the few people who genuinely need it, and keep logs of that access. We review our systems and dependencies for vulnerabilities on a regular basis, and we maintain an incident-response plan so that, in the unlikely event of a breach, we can contain it quickly and notify anyone affected as the law requires.

Where we store it

Your waitlist details are stored with our hosting provider, Strato, on infrastructure in the European Union. Our analytics provider, Google, may process some usage data — including information derived from your IP address — on servers outside the European Economic Area, such as in the United States. Where data is transferred outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist details only while they are useful for inviting you to early access, and no longer than necessary. You can ask us to remove you at any time and we will delete your record promptly.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the vetted providers that help us run Sluicio — our hosting provider (Strato), our email-delivery provider, and Google Analytics — and only under agreements that hold them to the standards in this policy. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We never sell your data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data, which may include:

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of these rights, or for any privacy question, email us at support@sluicio.com and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Sluicio grows or as the law changes. When we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let waitlist members know.
